Capricorn season and Saturn nurture healthy boundaries that can help you stay resourced while methodically planning for the year ahead and beyond
Hello friends, and welcome Capricorn season!
In the northern hemisphere, the winter solstice heralds the beginning of Capricorn season, a time of slowing down to review, methodical and strategic planning, creating healthy boundaries and limits, and laying the groundwork for new projects.
Capricorn is the cardinal sign that begins the season of winter, a time to return to the earth that rests in quiet darkness. If you’re somebody like me that prefers light hearted, forward momentum and continuous action, slowing down with this serious earth sign may make you feel resistant or restricted. I’m putting an extra focus on relaxing into it this year as we lay out our plans for the farm, and our alignment to seasonal living becomes more amplified than ever before.
It’s important to note that while Capricorn season is great for practical and grounded preparations and arrangements, and review of all the things, there can be a tendency to overwork or overdo. Not in the Jupiter expansive, enormous abundance way, but in the way that Saturn (as Capricorn’s ruling planet) can create boundaries or structures in such a way that they can be confining. With care, Saturn and Capricorn are powerful allies for long term planning and its best to always do a checkin of how sustainable your plans are. At their best, Capricorn and Saturn will guide you towards simple plans that can withstand the test of time while you remain resourced.
As I’ve prepared for Capricorn season, finishing out Sagittarius season, reviewing 2023, and considering what’s up ahead, I have continued to make tweaks to my astrology offerings that both excite me and challenge me (in all the best ways possible 😆)
My publication is now simply called, Astrology with Julie, affectionately supporting me as I hone my monthly writing focus, astrology skills, and offerings. I wanted my publication to be a reflection of the simple, intentional life I continue to dream of between setting goals, raising kids, and balancing both the rewards and challenges of our modern lives. I have already felt the energetic boost from simplifying and the clarity that it brings.
I’ve received some wonderful questions about my publication, as well as compliments about my writing, teaching, and workshops. Folks find my work to be “informative and clear to understand”, which is truly one of the best compliments I could receive.
The best way to get the most out of Astrology with Julie is to join live or watch the replay of the monthly workshops, and to comment and ask questions on posts, chat threads, and through email. Astrology with Julie operates like a membership.
Whether you’re new to astrology or deepening your understanding of your birth chart, I would love to support you in the year ahead.
Wishing you and yours peace, love and joy as we review and close 2023, and plan for the year ahead!
— Julie 🌟
